1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Silvermere Commerce Ltd, company number 17509422, registered office 16 Stanpoint Way, St. Ives, England, PE27 5XF. Contact: accounts@silvermerecommerce.co.uk.
2. What we collect and why
While the website is in pre-launch, the only personal data we collect is what you choose to send us:
- Contact and trade enquiry forms: your name, email address, (optionally) telephone number and business name, and the content of your message. We use this solely to respond to your enquiry. Lawful basis: legitimate interests (responding to you) and, where relevant, steps towards a contract at your request.
- Email correspondence: if you email us, we retain the correspondence to handle your enquiry.
- Technical data: our hosting provider processes standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and operation. We do not run analytics on this data ourselves.
When trading begins, we will also process order and delivery details and payment confirmations (payment card data will be handled by Stripe, not stored by us). This policy will be updated to describe that processing before checkout opens.
3. What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent personal data.
- We do not send marketing emails without consent.
- We do not load analytics or advertising trackers without your consent โ see our Cookie Policy.
4. Service providers
We use a small number of processors to operate: our website hosting provider and our email provider. When payments are enabled, Stripe will process payment data as an independent controller/processor under its own terms. Owner to confirm the names of the hosting and email providers before publication.
5. Retention
Enquiry correspondence is kept for up to 24 months and then deleted, unless an ongoing business relationship or legal obligation requires longer. Order records (once trading) will be kept for the periods required by tax and company law.
6. Your rights
Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent where consent is the basis of processing. To exercise any right, email accounts@silvermerecommerce.co.uk.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF, ico.org.uk.
7. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, form submissions are validated and spam-protected, and access to correspondence is limited to those who need it to run the business.
8. International transfers
Our providers are chosen to keep data in the UK/EEA where practicable. If a provider processes data outside the UK, we will ensure an appropriate safeguard (such as the UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses) is in place.
